Accessibility
Built to be usable by everyone.
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA across NOV20.org. The site is built with semantic HTML, keyboard-navigable interactive elements, visible focus states, sufficient colour contrast, and respect forprefers-reduced-motion.
What we do
- Mobile-first responsive design
- Keyboard navigation throughout
- Clear focus rings on interactive elements
- Alt text on images; decorative imagery is marked aria-hidden
- Colour-blind-considered palette; never colour alone for meaning
- Plain English copy; simple form labels and error messages
- Reduced motion: animations disable when the OS setting is on
- Downloadable resources kept accessible (tagged PDFs)
Known limitations (we're working on these)
- Some country resource pages contain non-Latin scripts; pronunciation guides are provided where useful.
- Match-pack PDFs are generated in v2 (currently HTML-only); accessibility tagging will be retained when PDFs land.
